The most popular tour takes visitors through some of Tenerife’s most vibrant areas. This 8-hour hike covers three regions spanning more than five different climates. The first part of our walk will begin in Teide National Park, where we’ll explore the picturesque mountain range, stopping to take photos and admire the views from a height of 2,200 metres. After our time at Teide, we’ll head to the village of Masca, in the west of Tenerife, situated in the Barranco de Masca, which visitors often compare to Machu Picchu. From Masca, we’ll head back to the north of the island, a journey filled with beautiful coastlines, cliffs and beaches (we’ll stop at one of our favourite beaches along the way). However, no trip is complete without a stop at a local restaurant to sample local wines and delicacies.

From this viewpoint, we will see a diverse landscape encompassing the mountains, the ocean, the Masca Gorge and the famous road winding through the undulating Teno mountain range. We then set off along the main route, which runs along the mountainside. Further on, we will come across panoramic viewpoints and historical monuments. The final stage of our walk takes us through a relict laurel forest. This unique ecosystem was created by Tenerife’s unique climate.

In the morning, we’ll set off from your apartment and head to the Teno Rural Park along winding mountain roads. Our first stop will be the village of Masca, the most popular spot in the area. You can admire its beauty at any time of year. The views from here are well worth capturing. Afterwards, we’ll venture into the Teno mountains.
Wild places like Patagonia, unusual landscapes that seem to vanish like ghosts amongst sudden clouds, herds of goats… all this gives this area a special character you’ll never forget. From this mountainous plateau, our hiking route will descend the slope towards Teno Lighthouse. We’ll enjoy the views of the unusual coastline, where lava battled the ocean thousands of years ago and left us its caves. At the lighthouse, we’ll have the chance to take a dip in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Excellent snorkelling is guaranteed after a mountain hike! The Teno lighthouse is the westernmost point of the island, a major attraction for many tourists and largely inaccessible during the day. From here, you can see the Los Gigantes Cliffs from the other side, unlike on postcards, making it one of the best spots for taking photos. We will then return to the starting point of our route (a 460-metre ascent). In total, we will walk 8 km on this day.
